If you want to be a Metalsmith, you’ve come to the right place. I can guide you through the use of tools and techniques to make specific projects similar to a Freshman College course.

This is a 4 week course where you will get a comprehensive tour of all of the tools that metalsmiths use. You will get weekly homework (I have tools that can be checked out for use at home), because some things can only be learned by trial and error.

In this workshop, you will not only learn what metalsmiths do in their studios, you will get GOOD at it! This can be accomplished in 4 sessions, there are only two spaces in this class, so grab your seat sooner than later.

What to expect:

• Learn to use hand tools & make a chain

• Learn to solder and clean up mistakes

• Learn to saw, drill, and finish your metal

• Learn how to texture with stamps and hammers

• Learn several ways to finish your jewelry (polish, tumbler, flex shaft)

• Play with textures and stretching metal in the rolling mill
