Good afternoon friends. I decided to try to change my website template today and I completely took it down and started over with what looked like a lovely vacation blog website! Hahaha, I just panicked because I’m introducing new classes for March and April today & sharing that information on social media like crazy (and the link goes to a very strange place).
This just tells me that life is ALWAYS interesting, and what you think you know, you may not! I feel very confident on the computer, but today shook my nerves in a whole new way. I think I’ve recovered, but the blog portion of my website is missing (I’ve lost all the previous posts). So I thought I’d share a few things here just because it’s a blank page now.
Murals! I am in the jury process for a few projects coming up. I just had the pleasure to work with Thompson District High School students on a mural workshop where I guided them through a very interesting collaborative painting event where they “had conversations with color” on 4 large panels. They moved around the room and added marks to each panel. Eventually the “conversation” evolved and four completely cool panels emerged! The Loveland Museum of Art will now be the proud owners of these panels and the students will be able to put photos in their portfolios of this project that will be in the permanent collection of the museum!
Workshops! The Metalsmithing School is rocking and rolling! Thank you, all of you who have taken a class and referred me to your friends. Hopefully one day this will be a school that helps non-college bound students find a career! Dreams (that could use a financial partner). Seriously though, take a class now while it’s still nearly one-on-one, there’s nothing better! I have Airbnb’s on either side of me, plan a stay with metalsmithing on the side.
